Tecolote Auxiliary and the La Madera Fire Station

The Tecolote Auxiliary wants to thank everyone who came out to our Memorial Day Celebration with the volunteer firemen at the La Madera Volunteer Fire Station. This was also our major fund-raising event of the year and it was very successful.

Our community is very fortunate to have an award winning volunteer fire department and fire chief. Chief Joe Gober has decades of experience in the fire service and has been awarded a “Lifetime Achievement Award for Excellence.” Under his leadership La Madera, Station 16 has been recognized as “Station of the Year.” Tecolote Auxiliary has also been recognized by Sandoval County as the most active, supportive and involved in the county. Through fundraising events like the Fire House Festival and Fire House Breakfast the community served by Station 16 has shown its enthusiastic support.

Our volunteers are ready to help with fire and medical emergencies in the east mountains 24/7. The generous donations that the Tecolote Auxiliary has received over the years has enabled us to provide the fire station with much needed equipment and supplies. We wish to remind everyone that in the event you have an emergency, when you call 911 BE SURE TO TELL THE DISPATCHER YOU ARE IN SANDOVAL COUNTY.

The Tecolote Auxiiary welcomes new members. Our mission is to support the LMVFD with equipment and training session purchases and to provide a necessary back-up to our volunteer fire fighters in the field when they work to contain a blaze. Consider becoming a Tecolote Auxiliary Member. Enjoy the camaraderie and know that you are contributing to our community.
